Are You a 'Luddite'?

Driving home last night I was listening to 1010 CFRB - news talk radio and the presenter used the word 'Luddite' when referring to a persons vision of today and the future.  This got me thinking about something I had encountered earlier in the day when talking with a 'young' engineer and his pursuance of a new role - he resistance to trying something new in his approach to his future career.

So who were the 'Luddities'? - They were a social movement in 19th-century England and were artisans who protested mechanization (modernization) and were against the changes occurring in industry [Industrial Revolution].
